Description

Bukharan Shatranj is a capturing game that was played in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in the nineteenth century.

Rules

8x8 board. The first move is by the queen, which jumps two spaces forward orthogonally, and then is reduced to a weak piece. No castling. Bishops move two spaces diagonally, leaping over the first square.
