Content "Then there is another board, called that of the limbs (al-jawarhiya), which has been discovered in our time. It contains 7 by 8 squares. There are 12 pieces, on each side 6, and each of the 6 is called after a human limb, I.e., the limbs by which we speak, hear, see, grasp, and move—these are the (five) senses—and the universal sense belonging to the heart."
