Hi Michael,
You can save and load Ludii games in *.trl format using File > Save Trial and File > Load Trial. This saves/loads the current game state, and you can step through the trial using the toolbar buttons.
And we do have a "Sandbox" mode in which the user can edit the game state through the UI, to set up any position they want, but this is disabled for the moment until we work out some bugs with it. We'll try to include it again soon.
It would be nice if we could import games in other formats, but this would be very game-specific as there isn't a standard format for describing general board games. SGF is used for a few games but is still quite limited. Can you suggest a suitable format that might work for the range of games that Ludii supports?
Regards,
Cameron
