Can we have a state that properly attaches to cells and does not follow the pieces? (That can be set in the start rules.)

Hi,
No I answered your question about setting the state on the starting positions on the other post, but that's the same answer here. The state of a site (or the value, the count, or all these data) is related to the piece on it. If you want to associate a site to a value you can use a map, and call it during your game with (mapEntry ...) Regards, Eric Regards, Eric

I'm not sure if it was understood that way, but I meant this as a request. Should have said "May we …", maybe.
The only way I know how to work around the lack of a variable state attached to sites is to play on top of a layer of pieces. That's not too convenient.

Hi,
No the maps belong to the equipment (not to the state) so they are fixed/static. If you want to associate values to sites in modified them during the game you will have to use a variable for each site. However you can currently associate a variable only with a string, which can be annoying if you want to have a variable for each site. We are thinking in the future to add some StringFunction, which can help for such cases. Regards, Eric |
