Hi Quentin,
As of the latest release of Ludii (1.0.9), Ludii AI agents can now be used in remote games.
When a remote game or tournament is created, the host will have the ability to specify if players are able to use Ludii AI agents.
If you join a remote game where AI agents are allowed, they can be selected in the same manner as offline games.
Please note, that AI agents must still abide by the same rules as online games, most notably:
- Moves should not be submitted until all players have joined the game. If you start the AI before all players have joined, the move will be made locally but not sent to the server.
- If the AI attempts to make an illegal move, a random move will be made instead.
For the Olympiad, a human user will still be needed to join each game, and to setup and start the AI agent.
We also advise that you still keep an eye on your agent, in case it manages to get itself into an invalid game state.
If you experience any issues, please let us know :)
Cheers,
Matthew
