Go Doesn't Count Territory? - AlexanderBrady - 10-27-2021

I was trying to make a territorial game but the territory wasn't counting correctly. I went back to try out standard Go (as that was the Ludeme I was copying from) but it looks like Go doesn't count territory correctly either?

If there are captures, the player with more captures is declared the winner even if they have significantly less territory. If there are no captures I get a "You Lose!" message rather than an indication as to which player has won.

Hi,

I am not sure what you mean exactly can you provide us an example with this error/problem (showing an incorrect territory size computation)?

Regards,
Eric

In the attached image, black has captured 3 prisoners. But white has almost the entire board as territory (by standard territory counting rules). The game declares black the winner, even though they have clearly lost.[Image: oMGlbcz.png]

Hi,

Are you using the right version (the last one we release, version 1.2.11)?

Because I just did your example as a try and it works perfectly, got score of Black player = 12 and score of White player = 326 with the white player winning the game.

Eric

I was on 1.2.1. I apologize, I should have checked the versions before posting. Thank you!
