Only passing is possible in Mapuche Game - Michael - 03-25-2021
I am still looking for a traditional game that is guaranteed to end in elimination, and just loaded Mapuche Game, but I can only pass. A similar thing happened when I tried Pancha Keliya. The first seven moves was pure passing. Also, the board didn't show(in Pancha Keliya), but that might be a problem unique to my computer.

Oops, I inverted the initial states of the pieces in Mapuche, I just fixed it in our dev version.
Concerning Pancha Keliya, all is working here. However yes that's normal that the first moves are pure passing if the dice are not making able to enter some pieces on the board.

Hi,
I guess you already check that problem of some parts of Ludii which are not printed on your computer with Matthew, but just in case I would like to check your configuration.
Do you use a non usual configuration to run Ludii? Old version of Java? A variant of Java? A non usual os? Or maybe a really old configuration with just one core?

Yes, I did recently install a different kind of Java because I was having an issue with Ai Ai. OpenJDK, I think.

Would it be possible for you to try with Java 8 to see if you got the same problem or not (which is the minimum version of Java we support).

Just depends how you run Ludii.
If you run it with command line, you can just install it somewhere, and run it manually from there.
If you are just clicking on the jar, you have to replace your environment variable of your os by that new jar if you keep the two.
If you uninstall the previous java version and install that one instead, that should be the new default environment java variable. That's the easiest way.
