Email notification feature - slimy_asparagus - 03-09-2021

This would be really useful so you know when it is your move. Most online platforms do this.

Also suppose I am in a remote game and shutdown Ludii. When I restart Ludii it does not go back to the remote game, but to a local copy of the remote game. This is quite confusing.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. it's not a high priority for us at the moment but we might add it in the future if we have time.

We do not store personal information about the users in our preferences, this is why you need to log in again each time you launch the app.

Cheers,
Matthew

There is another disconcerting feature of this.

Suppose I am working on the code for some game. The users are "Player 1" and "Player 2". Now I log on via the Remote tab to play some game. Now the users are say "slimy_asparagus" and "deanthebean". After the game I leave and go back to developing the code for the game. Now the users are still "slimy_asparagus" and "deanthebean" even though I am just playing against myself.

I know I can fix it in preferences.

Hi,

Sorry I should have said "private" personal information. The names of all Ludii users are publicly available information on our forums.

However this IS still a bug, the names should reset back to the local versions when you logout, I'll look further into fixing this.

Cheers,
Matthew
