Dice Chess 10x10 for Ludii 1.1.6 - Michael Taktikos - 12-16-2020
Hi friends,
this is the second game.
Both lud files, 8x8 and 10x10, are based on Charuraji with dice, so credit should go to Eric Piette.
Apropos Chaturaj: It is not sure if it was played always with dice, or there was regionally also allowed without dice.
If it is not so hard to implement, can someone offer a Chaturaji.lud without dice?

I will add the Dice Chess 10x10 variant as an option of Dice Chess.
For Chaturaji without dice, I am not sure. That game is part of our ERC project the Digital Ludeme Project (http://ludeme.eu/people/index.html) so I can not answer in being sure and I will need Walter to provide a better answer to that. He is currently in holidays and will not be able to answer to you before January, but I will notify him in order to answer to you.

As about Chaturaji, I hope a variant/an option to disable the dice will not be too complicated

Hi Michael,
What we know about Chaturaji comes from a couple of Sanskrit manuscripts, both of which specifically state that it was played with dice. There are other forms of four-player Chess, which have been observed in India more recently than these manuscripts, but we have not yet incorporated them into our database.
If you know of any other sources about Chaturaji or four-player chess, please let us know!
