Hello,
Standardizing the different versions of Ludii is certainly a very complex task. However, it would save a lot of time, if at least the basic settings could be kept by changing the version.

Hi Quentin,
Currently we are changing too many things in Ludii for us to ensure that preferences can be transferred between different versions without issue.
However, you are welcome to try this yourself.
To update preferences to a newer version. Simple open the ludii_preferences.json file, find the entry for "VersionNumber", and change this to the new version number.
Please note. Currently there is an extra ".1" at the end of the version number in the preferences, but this will be removed in future release versions.

Just letting you know, we are going to experiment with keeping the preferences between ludii versions where possible, so your preferences should hopefully be transferable to the next ludii release without you needing to do any modifications.
