However, I am mostly focused on the ancient games in order to continue our ERC project. If I add one of them, I will let you know. Regards, Eric RE: my Wishlist of modern classic abstract games not yet implemented in Ludii - slimy_asparagus - 11-02-2020 Is the wishlist available anywhere? A geeklist would be really nice? RE: my Wishlist of modern classic abstract games not yet implemented in Ludii - Eric Piette - 11-17-2020 Hi, A wishlist is now available here: https://ludii.games/wishlist.php Regards, Eric RE: my Wishlist of modern classic abstract games not yet implemented in Ludii - slimy_asparagus - 11-28-2020 (11-17-2020, 01:18 PM)Eric Piette Wrote: Hi, So now you have a wishlist and are soliciting offers for help with implementing them, have you considered any sort of system saying which volunteer is working on which game? I think it would be very offputting for people to almost finish an implementation just to find that someone else finishes it first. Of course there would be issues with such a system as well. So maybe you would need a system of deadlines to at least show some progress. RE: my Wishlist of modern classic abstract games not yet implemented in Ludii - AlekErickson - 11-28-2020 Hi Eric, great that you have created the extensive wishlist! Looks nice! Does ludii have permission to implement all of these? RE: my Wishlist of modern classic abstract games not yet implemented in Ludii - Eric Piette - 11-30-2020 Hi, To implement them, yes no problem for any game. To publish them through Ludii, that's another kind of problem and when the game belongs to someone or a company, we ask the permission before any publication. It doesn't matter for some games like Battleships which (apart from any art involved) must be in the public domain. But for a game like Blooms I think the author should be asked (and I am sure he would consent). RE: my Wishlist of modern classic abstract games not yet implemented in Ludii - Eric Piette - 12-01-2020 Hi, The wishlist of modern games is just a list of games asking by users or to test to Ludii. That does not mean they will all be published with Ludii. If a game is done by a user, we will first look if the game is correct then if the game belongs to someone we will ask for his authorization to include his game inside Ludii. That is another step. But we are not gonna ask the authorization to many game designers if we do not have the necessary .lud. Regards, Eric |
