Changed computers without loging out of Ludii - dale walton - 06-11-2023
After changing my computer, when I try to login I get the message that I am already logged in elsewhere when I try to log in: can you log me out, so that I can get in on my new computer?
Please note that I can log in and out of the forum. but the Player thinks I am still logged in 'elsewhere'

You do not seem to be logged according to what I can see. Can you try again and let me know?

Yes it is still the case. The message shows in the status tab.

I also get a message "you are already logged in elsewhere" when I try to log in to the remote player.

Since this happened after we played a game together, perhaps it is related to how we exited the game? - but I don't remember how. Hope it can be reset soon.

Hi,
Weirdly the variable corresponding to your activity on the server (in our db) was still thinking that you were connected and played a game (like forever). So I fixed this.

Last night I got in OK, and then quit. I had used the 'remember Me' check box. This morning I could not get in again. I turned off my computer over night, and it is thunderstorm season, so my IP number could have been re-assigned in between time. I worry that the system may be using IP address for the remember me, possibly in addition to Computer ID info.
In any case, please check again.
It could also be useful if games automatically time out after long periods. But ability to log in should not be linked to whether or not a game is in progress.
