It would be nice to have the option to specify 'Threatened', so that it only takes certain attack moves into account.
And to have a similar Ludeme 'Defended' or 'Covered' to see if a piece is 'under attack' by friendly pieces.
This would make it easier to implement 'hard cover' (in which attacking a covered piece can be forbidden under certain circumstances) and supporting your own attacks (like in Diplomacy).

You should have a look at the ludeme (is Threatened ...) used often in Chess games.
