Equi Game System - dale walton - 11-27-2022

After much delay, I have taken the opportunity to separate out the Equi games from the related multiplayer and more casual Hops-a-Daisy.
This also features Rulesets for the earlier versions as wel as a new set for revised rules that improve the original.

Please add this to your database, and also retain Hops-a-Daisy.

I hope to do a separate update for Hops-a-Daisy that focuses on its  own key features and mutators.

Hi, again.

I had to correct some errors in the scoring explanations in the rules.  Please find the corrected file below:

Hi,

Ok for this. Just to be sure, could you confirm that you modified only the metadata?

Eric

RE: Equi Game System - dale walton - 11-29-2022

Yes, only the rule text. The implementation of the game is correct.

Note, still a minor point  and maybe why you asked:
In Equiversi and Equiversi 2 the rules still are slightly wrong: The last to place LOSES, (not wins) as implemented, but I said Wins. It should be  "loses."

Also White is coded to start, and the no-corner first move is not implemented - it is left for the players to follow it voluntarily...

Note: This gives advantage to the underdog in Equiversi when no hexes can be placed and there are spaces not under threat - and otherwise to the leader.
In Equversi 2, disc can always be placed unless there is a forced jump, so it encourages setting up jump, re-jump where a Hex cannot be played afterwards situations, as opposed to simple jump where a hex cannot be played situations.

However, it is not applicable to a lot of situations.
