Hi everyone,
Just a short post, to let you know that if you wish, you can now add many rulesets to any of the games that you are submitting. They were previously only used for DLP (and so traditional) games, but now any games can have some.
But, just to be clear, do not create a ruleset for each of the possible options of your games. These rulesets have to modify more than a simple element like the board size. So when you will submit many rulesets for your game, you will have to justify the reason to have all these rulesets. Moreover, like in all our current games with many rulesets, you will have to provide the description of the rules for each of these rulesets.

I remember Hops-i-Daisy/Equi had hundreds of possible option combinations that needed to be organized into a limited set of different games.
How will it affect the database listings and website play? - Will each ruleset appear as a separate listing?

Hi,
All the rulesets of a game are listed under the same game. And yes each ruleset will still be playable on the website.
For an example look at Senet: https://ludii.games/details.php?keyword=Senet
When you click on the game you have the default ruleset, but then in the rulesets list, if you click on another, you will be able to play to it.
With the ruleset, it is also possible to specify different metadata for each ruleset. Again looks at Senet for an example.
